History

Just a little history on Browerville: March 3rd, 1884 Jacob V. Brower settled the land now known as Browerville. You may have heard of Jacob Brower because he is the father of Itasca State Park, along with being the founder of the Head Waters of the Mississippi River. Jacob was also one of the most recognized world authorities on natural anthropology of the upper Mississippi basin. You may also know that Minnesota is the second state in the nation to start a state park system.
